The Nintendo Wii Doesn't Sell That Much Really, Does It?

Couldn't resist looking into the actual Streamyx Account figures for the Nintendo Wii after everyone has been raving on about it. Still the raving continues! Just wanted to prove everyone wrong and show that the Wii's sales figures are pretty average - truth is, I couldn't do it!

It goes without Tmnet Webmail that sales figures are the ultimate proof as to whether or not a cheap dsl has been successful or not. Nothing else matters streamyx no as long as your profit margins are doing their job and bringing you high speed internet access a profit of course.

Here is just a small insight into the sales figures of the Nintendo Wii and another vancouver internet marketing insight into the sales figures of a few of its rivals.

The Wii was released in November, 2006, so its been out there for about 18 months at the time of writing. Here in the Uk, five months after release, 440,000 Wii's had been sold!!! This was way over target. Quite impressive huh?

Thats nothing compared to worldwide sales figures which amounted to an enormous 5,840,000 - remember thats in the first five months.

At of the end of April, 2008, just 6 weeks ago at the time of writing, worldwide sales figures for the Nintendo Wii are an astonishing 24.5 million! Now thats a pretty good seller. The UK is responsible for 10% of those figures, the USA 36%, Japan 23%, Germany 4% and other countries 27%.

It's worth noting, the Playstation 3 in the same time period has broadband expert 13 million ps3's while the Xbox 360 has sold over 19 million of its 360's, though it was released in 2005.

Pretty astounding figures don't you think?

So, the Wii - 24.5 million, the ps3 - 13 million, the xbox 360 - 19 million.

The Console War is on but I bet you knew already who's winning huh?
